Good point, all Euler's fault. Ha ha.
In all seriousness it can't be helping, as I would think if Peter needs a large bank that he doesn't have access to from bank accounts for his normal trading (as per my comment in the other thread) it would indicate he normally accounts for a fair amount of liquidity in the markets. This money missing will have a multiplier effect on the liquidity.

If you think you said you can account for 2 - 4% of matched volume I would hazard a guess Peter accounts for at least that if not more, add in the multiplier effect and a fair chunk soon disappears from the markets.

Peter would be able to give us a better indication of how much of the missing liquidity he would normally account for obviously.
One thing I do know - when I was banned for a while I used to think the markets would miss me - they didn't, it looked pretty normal and the volume didn't really change. In thinking through that I guess being part of the market also has an impact on the market and we don't have a parallel universe to see what the volume would have been without us.

I knocked it on the head around 3:30am (UK time) as they seemed a little below par and from what you guys have said that didn't change much as the morning/night worn on

Presumably it wasn't just Peter but other traders (or even a spoofer) may not have been able to fund their accounts so it can't help liquidity.

Yes I saw that on your twitter.

I am surprised you can't get enough funds into your account from other sources e.g. bank accounts Paypal etc.

Something you may need to add to your contingency planning for the future.

I wasn't going to trade today really apart from the Aussie racing, so no bad thing! I left it late to decide to give the footy a go and so just realised it was sort of telling me to take five for once!

Did it affect all your automation too? 3pm on Sat must be your biggest liability of the week.

Must say I was suprised when you said you were "having to" trade Oz racing with a tiny bank.... Is the gas bill due?

R5 was declared a no race as some barriers opened before others. Not sure if Cairns use a siren but it seems a couple of jocks knew it was a false start as they just lobbed along behind the field.. The delay later in the day was due to the ambulance on track having to take a jock to hospital who was injured while loading for R7. They had to wait for a replacement ambulance to travel to the track
