Do any members use race times and speed figs to good effect,i have done a lot of looking over the years, but this is an area that i still cannot get my head round.

My limited understanding of the subject is that, with UK speed ratings, you're not comparing like with like, so comparisons don't always tell you much.

For example, how do you compare one horse's time over a straight 5 furlong track with another horse's time over a bendy 3 furlong course?
