Well, it's more a CSS issue than a bug.

I can't click on the notifications so I can't access them.

Giving the notifications a CSS Z-Index should fix it.

Make it higher than the one of the profile sidebar.

Try using one of the 'Prosilver' skins rather than the 'Milk V2'
