I honestly believe the Baku stadium will be full. The pull of football is very powerful. Don't ask me why. But its seems FIFI/UEFA can set fees as high as they like. Regardless, there are a lot of people that want to, and can afford to attend a top level final.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 8:42 pmI don't get it at all If you ever figure it out let me know![]()

Yeah but that's a common-sense thought Dallas, you can't expect UEFA people to apply common-sense if favour of the fan, they have an association to run!

Changing the venue of a major sporting final because of the nationality of the qualifiers would set a ludacrous precedent. And if it's about making access easy for supporters then they should play the final in the Far East where most of the supporters are.
Premiership sides are just global businesses that happen to be based in the uk, they don't even need the ticket receipts. You should think yourself lucky that you can see them almost any week of the year because in 10yrs time, don't be suprised if the top sides move to a new global super league, if the shareholders choose to. You can't enjoy the success foreign money brings without there being a price to pay, football has been sold to the highest bidder, get used to it.

… and if a team from outside the 95% got to the final their fans would happily travel anywhere to see their team in a European final.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 7:53 pmAt the start of the competition there would have been at least a 95% chance that the winners were going to come from one of Europe's top 5 leagues so to have it played as far away as possible for fans of the teams who are going to contest the final doesn't make much sense.

Can't agree with that one Scalper, it's a European final so to create a different atmosphere than a League Cup final it shouldn't be played in the country of (either) finalist. Give the fans an excuse for a few days away on foreign soil with foreign beer and foreign ladies!BetScalper wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 7:42 pm… if its an all English Champions league and Europa League Final then why cant both games be played at Wembley ?

Out of the current 20 PL club owners, you've got
4 Americans
2 Russians
2 Chinese
1 Abu Dhabi
1 Malaysian
1 Thai
1 Italian
8 British
Among those 8 British owner there's people who made their start in porn, gambling, and one who's in tax exile in the Bahamas.
Since the primary competition on the continent over the last decade or two have come from clubs with a 50+1 model or socio-ownership any talk of moral high ground, keeping money in the UK, taking the fans' approach to where to stage a match is beyond hypocrisy. As Shaun said, the PL sold its soul long ago.

If ever a day was made for the split screen option on Sky Q then this is it.. but as usual it doesn't work when an event is being offered in Ultra HD so they should just scrap it.
Erm..... lost for words!!
