I want to back something in a certain market on betfair, but I would like a bet for an equal amount to be placed on the lay side at a lower price as soon as it is accepted, in an attempt to guarantee a profit. Once this is accepted I want it to place a bet on the back side at a higher price similar to my first bet etc and repeat (ensuring I cannot lose more than 1 bet on the market). I'm sure it is really simple to do using your software, I have downloaded the free trial for now, but after watching videos and reading the manual i'm still confused over how this is done. Does anywhere explain this very simply or can anyone simply what i would need to do?

Assuming I understand your plan properly it sounds like a job for the Excel spreadsheet integration.

I think there is a sub forum for excel questions, ask there. There are many excel gurus loitering there ;)

If you were wanting to manually place your back bet then you could use the "offset" option (1 tick) with a "fill or kill" time delay. That would be on the one click screen if you wanted to use the "ladder" then you would need to tick "use global settings" to get the possible result your are after. Remember to check that you have unclicked the global settings command when finished otherwise you will be wondering what is happening when BA continues to place counter trades when you don't want it to.
