(SOLVED) Back bet rule triggers but never placed into the market

Help pls I'm going bananas

On the end of the back bet I am clearing a stored value which confirms the rule is firing and can be seen in the log:

14/06/2019 18:23:56: [G_Auto] :  Stored Value for Aspen Belle 'X' has been cleared

but there is zero evidence of my bet being fired. What's the deal?

Stored value cannot be the issue as it's working / showing up in the log also.

Perhaps it's being cleared before the Back bet can be fired and therefore backing at an invalid price?

Yeah that has to be it due to the 1s IP delay.

I will try adding a 1.2s delay to clearing the values after the bet is fired
