good luck giulio, and yes we agree..
punters/traders they know not what you are, in play is in play.
like the unmanaged switch suggestion to get around it, when it happens wonder why they dont do that ?

I guess it's because if they changed it to unmanaged inplay when they lose picture.
the rules of the market would have been changed and they would have to void some previous bets or people would complain.
in this instant Betfair can not really win whatever they do.

I took issue with this issue some time ago and came round to the opinion that they couldn't void for security reasons. Turning to unmanaged seems pretty viable though doesn't it?
People will know the potential risk they take and information about match will come in from many sources so no need to monitor. I guess it could disrupt some type of activity on the exchanges but much fairer than leaving people out to hang.

Personally, I think unmanaged would be a good way to go. All BF need to do is modify the market rules to state that if they have technical difficulties, they will go unmanaged rather than suspended.
The only thing that concerns me is that sometimes this may not suit. I was trading a game the other week and a penalty was awarded. it took BF ages to suspend, a good 10 seconds +. The game never came out of suspension for about 20 minutes and it was alleged that BF were investigating someone beating the clock during that time.
It was obvious that they had beaten the clock due to the monkey pressing the suspend button was too blinkin slow. I'm not sure BF would go unmanaged in this type of situation whereas they may be more receptive to it if it were an outage of the pictures.
