Sorry I didnt explain it particularly well Derek. I only noticed it just before the off and then my later investigations then proved it was a very early trade.Derek27 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 3:13 pmI'm with you now - I thought you were talking about just before the off. You often get crazy bets when the market just opens but a £550 back at 1.03 could well be an intended lay. It wouldn't make sense to back your own lay because someone could lay above 1.03 a split-second before.Wolf1877 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 3:08 pmTrue but I assume it was probably a very early trade when there was still no money in the market.
I noticed it pre off on the inplay trader window then I looked at the ladder where it said 1.1K matched.
Probably someone laid it at 1.03 and then backed their own lay trade instead of cancelling otherwise it was an expensive mistake if it was a gunuine trade.
I've got a theory as to what may have been going on there. I doubt it was accidental at that volume and at that stage of the market and the risk of an intermediate lay would have been incredibly low. Anyway I shall now file the incident under the "weird stuff that can happen in Betfair Markets" compartment of my brain.

Lol, betfair are going to have to hope Debonair doesn't win the 8:40 as theyy took it out the running thinking it was a non runner then turned the market in play

The jockey got turfed off the horse in the stalls o they backed it out. Betfair in their wisdom made it a non runner and pulled it fromm the market, the jockey got back on and went in the stalls
I think they may have managed to get it back into the market but they applied the rule 4 and it only came off when I exited and re-entered the market. I imagine it'll be a while before they figure out to settle it.

They seemed to pop it back in as the race started. Right royal cock up.spreadbetting wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 8:44 pmLol, betfair are going to have to hope Debonair doesn't win the 8:40 as theyy took it out the running thinking it was a non runner then turned the market in play![]()
The odd thing was I was showing two different P&L's, one for polling and one for streaming. Glad he didn't win it, that would have be an interesting discussion.
