both pre race and in running
i trade "order flow" so pictures not that important still quite a few seconds more delayed than betfair video for uk racing
Inrunning in Oz is nothing like the UK, there is a fraction of the money inrunning and away from the main tracks there is almost none.

Also your access to pictures in the UK for Oz racing is very limited. The only options to my knowledge are on Sky Sports racing, Betfair Live Video and Racing.com all of which are delayed significantly to people in Oz it seems as there is at least one person who can react very quickly to things in the market such as horses getting poor starts.

Would love to see your PnL at the end of the session if you don't mind posting it again.

By contrast I have had 1 loss out of 24 markets traded.
23/33 for me but only 1 noteworthy loss.

Nice and steady today & completely stress-free. Have switched my approach to having automation hedge the market for me from 5s to post onwards and I've gone back to not watching/listening to any feeds (just throw on some tunes instead) and it works well for me so I'll keep with this format for the foreseeable.

I pulled a Derek tonight (stayed up without a pre-session nap) so calling it earlier than usual. Gl to those trading the remaining mkts.

That is great to hear - well done and sensible to stop if tired before mistakes start to creep in. A good session for the confidence!

Good to hear about the automation as well!

Keep it up!

It's not difficult when you get up at midday. Pleased to hear you've had a good session.

thanks but still running bad
any advice on low latency feed, sky racing quite delayed
My advice is take a break. By contrast I have had 1 loss out of 24 markets traded.
hope your not on some martingale system losing big once in a while
scalping mostly? so you hardly ever lose or running well today? well done
anyway i guess as long as variance is under control total profit is what matters

No martingale here, just consistent trading, pretty average session so far today though. Up to 3 losses for the session now from 35 markets, biggest loss being £13.

scalping is easy with small stakes but becomes much harder when upping stakes as your money influences the market more, other strategies are more scalable

I guess it depends on what you define as small stakes and what it is you are trying to achieve in terms of profits?

All markets have a limit on the amounts you can use for a strategy but I would say I am no where near reaching that maximum but I use stakes I am comfortable with, sometimes I will push it when I am happy with increasing the stakes and the risk/reward ratio makes sense.

Also I wouldn't say scalping is easy with small stakes, it is easier than with larger stakes I would say but not easy.

should have said easier, why you think you have such high strike rate, youve been doing this for long? what you do better than others?

Yup been on the Oz markets for a while now so have a fair bit of experience of them now. There are others on here who do much better than me. Can't be telling you my secret sauce recipe I am afraid ;)
