laying 2 horses in same race by favouritism in same race

I am having a small problem with a automation program
I want to lay 2 horses in the same race the fav and 4th fav
the fav <3-1 and 4th fav <10 to 1
the idea being i have 2 bets on the same race off setting each other
The problem is I keep getting 2 bets placed on the 4th fav when the fav is over 3-1 odds
I have in the conditions bets on selection as <1 so it dosnt put 2 bets on the same horse it bets two different horses because there is a new 4th fav
I have also got in the conditions bets on market is <2 so I only get 2 total bets placed see below

place lay bet
allow trigger upto 20 times wait 2 secs before rearm
in pos 1 in fav

best market price

conditions

lay price <3
matched bets on the market <2
matched bets on the current selection <1

then repeat above for 4th fav

but keep getting 2 horses layed at say 8-1 and 7.8-1 when fav is over 4-1 and isnt layed

any ideas please to stop the 2 4th favs being placed as murphys law always happens and 1 of these 2 4th favs wins

Are you laying both at the same time or at different times?

i put a gap of 5 secs 1.40 before race starts and 1.40 before race starts I tried same time and that didnt work either

If laying both at the same time it just needs to rules
1 applied to Betfair fav 1
1 applied to Betfair fav 4

Both should have 2 x Fixed odds cond as follows

nominated select betfair fav 1
Back price
is less than 3.0

nominated select betfair fav 4
Back price
is less than 10.0

If you just want to lay each once then both rules just need 1 trigger

I think ive sorted that setting the action as 'any selection' I've set the trigger up to 5 times but will that just trigger on each horse that hits once or say it hits 1.8 goes out then back in to 1.8 trigger the same horse again as i only want it to hit on each horse once?

If you use 'Number of place bets trigger condition' on selection is equal to 0

That will only allow the rule to fire once on a selection
