Curious about 'Requesting API access' message

When I was installing it the other day, I got a dialog box/message saying Requesting API Access. This is the first time you have used betfair's new API with bet angel. We need to request access for your account...

I was just curious really, what is it doing here? Is it asking for Stream API access? (I didnt think that was turned on by default)

Because its a new product your using for the first time with your Betfair username it needs to request API access for it.
You'll only ever see it the one time unless you create and begin using another Betfair account

Ahh ic, well that makes sense. I forgot that it did that when I firsts installed Trader edition. Thank you Dallas.
