That risk meter number is an expression of volatility. Volatility works both ways, so it's more useful as a guide to staking rather than 'risk' per se. Depending on how you approach it volatility can be very beneficial. It all comes back to the old chestnut that every market has its strategy.

Late summer two card days are generally good afternoons to work on other stuff. I went out of a nice lunch with my daughter and did some shopping.

Here is a good measure of how poor the racing is today. 18:30 is a class 7 race at Lingfield.
