Hi there, I wonder if anyone can advise on this. I run automated files on various tournaments (which generally work fine) but I am having some problems with the men's and women's US open winner markets.
I have been trying to load them into Guardian but when I do they come up as suspended and also have the wrong amount of traded money shown. For example, the men's market has £149,802 traded so far, yet my Guardian screen tells me it is much less than this. It's all very odd. Is there anyone out there who might be kind enough to try and load up these markets and see if they are having the same issue?
NB: I have refreshed markets and restarted Bet Angel all to no avail.
Thanks.

Hi Dallas, yes I've checked that and all appears fine. Thing is, I load up hundreds of markets every day and have never seen this problem before. I also have many other markets running right now on the golf etc with no issues. It is just these two tennis markets that aren't working. I have two laptops and am seeing the same problem with both.
When I first uploaded it was showing the volume at 59k, gradually it's inched up to 138k but it's like it's several hours behind. I've put in a snapshot though, can you see anything wrong?
Thanks.

Hi Dallas, yes turning off streaming worked. Thank-you.
However when I turned it back on, the problem returned, so would it be best to keep it off? Are there any other implications from doing that? I know it means a max refresh rate of 200ms instead of 20ms but I can live with that.

The refresh rate is the only limitation, sometimes when Betfair suspend a long term market it's doesn't unsuspended when using streaming which is what I thought may have been happening but when I checked I did so using streaming and it was working, so it would suggest its a streaming issue local to you.Bear's The Name wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2019 10:55 amHi Dallas, yes turning off streaming worked. Do all other markets from other sports load and work fine when using streaming?

Generally everything works fine other than an intermittent SP bet problem where the odd bet doesn't go to SP - usually on dog or US racing markets but we are talking like one or two a day out of thousands so I take that on the chin (even though it costs me occasionally). I have never got to the bottom of that but convinced it's not my rules or a minimum stake issue.
My modus operandi is to run two machines - one which I use for trading markets that run over several days like Tennis and Golf tournaments. On this machine I don't restrict refresh so that the markets are always on. As things happen at a slow pace I can live with a slower refresh rate as it scrolls through the markets. I've also got streaming off now as per your advice - thank-you - and I'm pleased that I've taken up my opening positions for the tennis.
On my other machine I load up all the other shorter term markets - horses. dogs etc - that machine I have restrict refresh on so it can refresh several times a second close to the off and am also still running streaming.
All of this seems to work pretty well 99%+ of the time, I guess nothing's foolproof!

when you can I'd try rebooting your router and the PCs and see if the streaming starts to work again on ALL.
Streaming requires a socket connection from your PC through to the Betfair servers and any number of things can prevent that, sometimes an update of internet security software (firewall etc) can break the connection, sometimes the Internet Service Provider network routing can change and suddenly streaming stops working, sometimes it's as simple as the internet router is overheating and needs a reboot.
Issues are rare, but when they occur they are difficult to fix, some users never manage to connect with streaming with their internet service. It's one of the reasons it's not switched it on by default.

Interesting stuff, Dallas, I appreciate you taking the time to give your insights and I shall take it all on board..
