Dear All

Have been trading (fairly up an down) for a while and have now taken the plunge to try and be more successful. Am getting to grips with the great automation tool on Bet Angel and written a couple of my own now. Having said that, the couple I have written I think I have got wrong slightly - one is trying to back a few secs before race time and lay off 20% with greening in running. Doing it simply with potentially just the 2 nominated selections. The initial bet part is working fine and in the first race I tried it with 2 horses; one the lay back matched as went lower and hit the price, the other it didn't (it drifted all race). So I thought I'd cracked it - well the coding at least! However on the second race I did one runner only and it matched the back price pre race but did not match the lay price. It actually went much lower trading odds on (the lay was set at 32.0!!) and I luckily made more money manually as was watching the race. I am wondering if the lay bet is not lasting long enough. The race started a few mins late so that may be the issue. A way round it maybe setting it to trigger the bet at BSP but not sure how to do that. Anyway hopefully someone can help!
Best

There are a few example files you can download from the in-running section along the lines of what your doing

There is a rule that you can add to take SP on unmatched bets, or once a race has gone in-play and the SP is known you can place bets at the SP - the downside to this is if the horse gets a flying start it may not trade at its SP again, or not before already hitting what would have been your target lay price
