can anyone set refresh faster than 250ms in races with more than 10 or 12 runners, have a fibre connection and fast computer but Saturday always laggy, not fun especially in running

I have 50 ms Rik . Try raise the max calls per seconds. I use 40

Switch to streaming you should easily beat that, streaming is more efficient as you only get runners where prices/volumes have changed not the whole field downloaded each time

Racing data always seems to throw up new challenges Derek. 18 characters? Must have been from the days when disk space at a premium.
I generally find out when something fails in my processing but I do wonder how much gets through without causing a failure.
The last failure I had was when a runner became a non-runner for half an hour and then it became a runner again 20 minutes before the off but I assume that was caused by a Betfair mistake.
