Hi All,

Could someone please help regarding how to deal with 'unmatched' bets' when placing bets in-play using BetAngel spreadsheet.
Please see last 'post' from Dallas in the link below

Help me understand the problem. A bet remains unmatched? For how long?

Your system is BACK bets only (and then obvs to close the trades), are you back betting or are you trading?

Following on from this, does your system rely on betting/trading multiple times per market or just once? Is it a matter of the bets never match before the start time, you're chasing prices or the multiple trades leave unmatched bets lying around? Bit more clarity would help.

Just to let you know if you don't otherwise, L12 will ALWAYS show "Bet initially unmatched when entered the market" or whatever the line is. This is because you enter a queue for a time, no matter how small. Even if you entered at an empty price, unless somebody else matched you at the exact millisecond your money hit it will show that it arrived as unmatched. I assume that's how it works.

Hi Callum,
I am triggering one single 'BACK' bet per market in-play.
At the time of triggering the 'Odds' ( col M ) is set to the value of the 'Back Odds' ( col G ) e.g G9 if it's the favourite that triggers.
Sometimes the stake ( col N ) matches and sometimes it doesn't as shown in the two examples.

Have a look at one of the clear status workbooks from the shared area and see if you can customise it to refresh once per new market. Set your trigger to in-play as you have done now and if you need me to have a look at anything just PM me or post into this thread here.

The unmatched message is to be expected so I'd say have a go with £2 stakes first, fine-tune your strategy and watch it manually at first. Watch how quick your orders get taken and if any orders remain unmatched, think about what you would do manually and then translate this into code with a trailing stop or fill/kill or any other features BA offers.
