Hi,
I have been testing trading football scores for the second half. At half time I place 6 bets. Let's a game is 1-1 at half time I place the following bets: 1-1, 2-1, 1-2, 3-1, 1-3 and 2-2.
So I am betting on 0-2 goals scored in the second half. Most times I test it I make a profit but I am looking to automate it.
I am also looking for ways to increase the return. For example, if I place bets on 1-2 and 2-1 before the match starts I get higher odds than at half time.
At the moment I am just testing with just a few pounds.
Can BetAngel Help Me With This?
It's a very broad spectrum of scores. Imo, if you want to trade the correct score market then each match would need to be treated individually and I would select 1 score line and look to trade it on the journey from 0 to 90 minutes.
Effectively you're trading the under 4.5 in the second half, so why not just trade the under 4.5 & what you could do is Frame your time in the market and set up an automation file that uses a few simple rules, this then could be an umbrella for a set of games that meet your criteria.

Thank you, I will also have a bet on 1-3 as there are 6 6 possible outcomes so the total is 81.52%
The reason why I am testing this is because if you place bets on 0,1 or 2 goals scored in the second half before a match starts you can't make a profit but if you wait until half time you can in almost all games. I have tested some matches by placing bets on 2-0 and 0-2 before the match starts to see if it increases the profit and some times it does but if it is 1-1 by half time then you lose both stakes.

You can easily automate the correct score market, dutching various scores using the book % stake function. You mention maximising profit, you may want to look at laying certain scorelines rather than backing all. For instance at halftime if it's 1-1 you can back the scorelines you suggest but start laying some of your liability on the 1-1, this has the effect of increasing the green on the target scorelines and reducing the red on say AOHW that you've not covered. Match selection is obviously the key here as you can build up a fair amount of liability on the 1-1 fairly quickly if you're not careful but cutting your losses at around 70mins if it's still 1-1 would be a wise move.

Thank you, that is very similar to what I have been doing. The main thing I need is an exit plan. If I can make a profit if 0-3 goals are scored in the second half that would be far more reliable than 0-2 goals but I can't see how I can do that yet.

Ok, I don't want to go giving too much away, not that this is some big secret or anything but you need to look at laying certain score lines in order to boost profit on others. Betangel has an amazing bit of kit built in the 'dutching' tab, you can essentially lay score lines you think won't occur pre-kick off whilst dutching others. For example you could have 0-1, 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 1-2 all dutched for for £50 profit, 0-2, 2-0 as break-even and the rest as a £100 loss. As the game progresses start dumping liability on the 0-0 from say odds of 11, this will start increasing the green on the dutched scores and reducing the losses on the others you have the £100 loss on. The danger is the score remaining 0-0 which is where you get out at 70mins.
