Winners selection on Dutching and Bookmaking tabs

Hi all, just wondering if someone could explain the usage of the "Winners" selection drop down on Dutching and Bookmaking tabs.

I've looked in the user guide and forum but can't see it mentioned.

Its the number of winners there can be in a market
most of the time you'd leave it as 1 but if dutching a horse racing place market where 3 places could be paid out youd then set it to 3
