Hi all,
Quite a newbie to BA, but hopefully what I'm asking can be done.

I am trying to increase my stake on each new market, by either a fixed percentage increase or a percentage of my last profit.
I have an automation rule that places a back bet, upon certain conditions, and I've tried to use a stored value rule to set the NET stake price and then increase the next stake (multiply) by 5%.
I must have something wrong, as it now won't place a back bet at all, I think because I have now changed the back bet parameter to use the stored NET Stake value.
Any help or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

There is a staking option 'As a Percentage of Balance'

Thanks for the reply Jukebox
I had seen that option but it’s not quite what I am after.
As an example, if I originally staked £10 (bet 1) and made a profit 10%, I would want my next stake (bet 2) to be £11. If I win that event at 10%, I want to add the winnings to my last stake (£11) and then stake £12.10 (bet 3) and so on.
Using a percentage of my balance for each back bet, would not compound at the rate this example does.
I was hoping to be able to add the profit made from bet 1, to the stake made on bet 1, to create the stake available for bet 2.
But even using a fixed multiple of the last stake would work ie: last stake x 1.1
Hope this makes sense.

If you make your initial balance £10 and apply 100% (you can put excess balance into one of your other Betfair wallets)

I acknowledge its not ideal.

Thanks Jukebox,
I've had some more thoughts, but the small initial balance will get me started.

It depends really if you want it fully automated, I achieve it by using Back by book % and using servant context stake but I'm obviously using servants, which works well.

Thanks jamesg46,

From what I gather, you can incorporate Servants into automation rules. Have you any steers on to how to achieve this? Any tips would be appreciated.

Sorry Frankie, I have no idea about that.. if it is possible you'll need somebody with far superior knowledge to me (which wont be hard by all accounts in this forum)

I did ask for what you want to be available in automation files but I'm not sure if we are miss understood, miss understanding or nobody else is wanting to do it in the same way. All in all servants are doing it just fine for me... best of luck with yours.
