Hello there, sorry, I have a noobie question if anyone doesn't mind answering...
How does handicapping tend to affect things? I gather the idea is that a good handicapper will make the race evenly run....Do you guys pay much attention to that? Or is that something only fundamentalist traders look at?
Handicaps are much more competitive, but whether you're a punter or trader it doesn't drastically change your approach to a market as the same value-seeking principles apply.johnsheppard wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2019 10:21 amHello there, sorry, I have a noobie question if anyone doesn't mind answering...

Nice one, I'm guessing last night's racing must have been some big meeting as my bot picked up £600+ on the 4:00 , a few other decent 3 figure wins at Flemington and played 189 markets which is a lot more than I'd usually do on a Tuesday.
Melbourne Cup, I remember your bots did well same day last year. There's still another two days of the carnival, Thursday and Saturday morning.spreadbetting wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2019 1:04 pmNice one, I'm guessing last night's racing must have been some big meeting as my bot picked up £600+ on the 4:00 , a few other decent 3 figure wins at Flemington and played 189 markets which is a lot more than I'd usually do on a Tuesday.

If every punter boycotted racing for a week the authorities might take a bit more care...Will Australian racing overcome cruelty scandals
Actually it was Saturday last year, not Tuesday when you posted impressive results.spreadbetting wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2019 1:40 pmThanks, I still have my pnl data from 2016 onwards , I'll check those see what sort of amounts to expect
