He does it every week, one of the worst. Cheats should get retrospective bans imo.

They updated it, because some of the markets needed was no longer offered by Betfair and/or liquid enough for it to work.

Though I agree that the price looked a bit big, WBA have flattered to deceive for large parts and have looked plain awful defensively.
Making them a large favorite away at notoriosly difficult place to go is a stretch, current difficulties for Stoke or not. Fair to believe the price is too big, but nowhere near match fixing big, unless you only look at results.

I respect your opinion. Thus far, it seems it could go either way. However, this isn't the Pulis bastion of old even with Delap coaching them. Half empty stadium. And terrible performances for a while now, that is a shame for me and two of my Stoke friends.Kafkaesque wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2019 8:41 pmThough I agree that the price looked a bit big, WBA have flattered to deceive for large parts and have looked plain awful defensively.

I just still feel there's a script at work here, we shall see!

It will certainly be interesting to see if it's possible to outthink the market in terms of exactly how weak the Pool lineup will be and how much effect having the majority of the staff away (I assume) will have.Kai wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2019 5:55 pmThis might make an interesting market : https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/f ... .164721533

My initial thoughts are:
- No chance I'll be getting involved any time soon. Wouldn't put it past the FA to bend and make a different arrangement, even last minute.
- Best guess, the value will be in trading Villa pre, but the value will be with Pool at the closing price.
If the FA does pull something, does anyone know what the BF rules would be? I assumme, everything is void if it's postponed by more than 48 hours iirc the rules correctly. But if they play sooner, I'm not so sure.
You mean EFl not FA. Can't see FIFA moving their fixtures.Kafkaesque wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2019 7:51 pmIt will certainly be interesting to see if it's possible to outthink the market in terms of exactly how weak the Pool lineup will be and how much effect having the majority of the staff away (I assume) will have.Kai wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2019 5:55 pmThis might make an interesting market : https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/f ... .164721533

Genuinely surprised EFL didn't see this coming and also are unable to react to it.
But its interesting as to which LFC will prioritise. Gut feel is they'll go for global publicity and roll out the youth team in the Carbaboa Cup.
Added to which, as a top player would you prefer to be in Qatar or England in December?
Klopp doesn't care one bit about the Caramel Cup itself, he only cares about developing his wonderkids and uses the cup for this purpose, the last match (5-5 win + pens vs Arsenal) was an immensely positive experience for a huge batch of youngsters and debutants and that's exactly what Klopp wants. I don't even know whether he'll leave behind a few of the fringe players to help the youngsters because there are a few injuries and knocks in the squad currently. There will be some rotation in general to keep key players fresh, but things may get even more complicated if more players pick up knocks/injuries over the upcoming international break or during this busy festive period because Liverpool has a very small squad which is how Klopp wanted it (he directly said so).
Liverpool fixture list :
Nov 10: Man City
Nov 23: Palace
Nov 27: Napoli
Nov 30: Brighton
Dec 4: Everton
Dec 7: Bournemouth
Dec 10: Salzburg
Dec 14: Watford
Dec 17: Villa (CC)
Dec 18: CWC
Dec 21: CWC
Dec 26: Leicester
Dec 29: Wolves
Jan 2: Sheff Utd
This is the period where a small squad gets truly tested during a season, hopefully they can do it.
Btw Mark, when's the last time you checked your inbox?!
