Hi Dallas / Others,
Does anyone know what causes my offset bet to fail. Keeps randomly happening. Cant seem to find a pattern .
Log:
07/11/2019 15:05:46: [G_Auto] : £ 10.00 Lay bet placed on Geordie B at 5.5. Entirely unmatched when it initially reached the market. Ref: 10240 ( Fill or kill bet with 9999 seconds delay. Offsetting by 1 ticks. Stop at 1 ticks. Place stop at 2 ticks )
07/11/2019 15:06:01: [G_Auto] : £ 6.52 of unmatched bet (Ref:10240) was filled before remainder was killed. Position Closed therefore no offset/stop required.

Thanks,
offset bet failed
It looks as if your intial bet was not fully matched in the first instance, that's why the offset bet wasn't placed. lets say I place a bet in the market £10 @ 10.0 with an offset of £20 @ 5.0. The whole initial £10 would have to be matched instantly in order for the £20 offset to be placed.
The way round this is to offset in batches that means you could specify for example offset in batches of 5. The software would then divide your initial bet into 5 bets of £2, if only 3 of those bets were intially matched then each of those bets would be offset.
hope this helps

You're very welcome. Another thing you can do which is actually simpler to get your intial bet matched more consistently is rather than backing/laying at best market price, back/lay at 1 or 2 custom ticks below/above market price depending on whether the initial bet is a back or lay. This moves you to the front of the queue so that you should get matched instantly.

I was backing / laying at reverse prices for scalping. So don’t really want to use worse prices as that would put me at a huge disadvantage for that type of trading etc.
