Hi guys

I am running the BA professional version 1.53.0, and wondering how is the global offset with percentage works? Base on the Youtube tutorial and manual page, it seems the percentage allow user to guarantee the profit when both bets are matched. E.g. when stake is £10, with 50% offset, the lay back is around £20.

If above understanding is correct, how does 100% or 52% works?

100% test: turned on offset bet with greening
1. set the offset 100% and with back fix stake of £10 at price 6.2
2. Result, I got around £61.39 lay bet at price 1.01

1. set the offset 100% and with back fix stake of £10 at price 8
2. Result, I got around £79.21 lay bet at price 1.01

1. set the offset 100% and with back fix stake of £10 at price 10
2. Result, I got around £99.01 lay bet at price 1.01

1. set the offset 100% and with back fix stake of £10 at price 12
2. Result, I got around £118.81 lay bet at price 1.01

This result don't make much sense to me. Should the 100% mean twice of profit base on the back bet?

What if I set the offset percentage to 51%? The test result showed the profit is normally less then 1% of back bet. E.g. back £10 at 3.6, and resulting in lay £20.45 at 1.76.

Many thanks

You seemed to have intially understood it, i.e bet £10 @10.0 with offset 50% @ 5.0 your lay stake would be £20. However in your other examples you've set your offset at 100% which means you're trying to offset at the same odds, hence the returns at 1.01 etc.

So just to recap bet at 10.0 with offset at 90% means offset at odds 9.0, bet at 10 with offset at 40% means offset odds 4.0.

hope this helps

I just test that with £10 back bet at price 10, and set 90% offset, all greening, the result was £99.01 lay back at price 1.01. Can someone try this on the ladder? Am I missing something?
