Betfair cheated on me?
I could not think that betfair would deceive me. Now there is a match vs Inter Slavia Prague. I had a bet of $ 500 against Inter at 1.2 After the goal of Slavia Prague, it changed to 3 where I recorded a profit of $ 275. To celebrate, I went to the kitchen to make a sandwich, after which I came and my kefs and amounts were changed and the position was magically opened again but not in my favor. I Thought a betfair exchange with a reputation and a name that would not do so for $ 275. Maybe someone watched this match and will explain what happened, at the moment I have no explanation other than betfair scam. I have been trading here for 5 years and for the first time I come across this

It would help if you posted the actual bets.Rarog wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 9:22 pmI could not think that betfair would deceive me. Now there is a match vs Inter Slavia Prague. What do you mean by 'it changed to 3'?
Did you have a green book with no remaining unmatched bets?
It's a bit premature calling it a scam when you haven't watched the match and don't know what's happened.
Before you consider breaking up with Betfair, have you looked at your matched bets?
They should all have a bet ID under the Betting Activity tab, not much point of posting a graph of Inter because it doesn't prove that your bets actually exist.
Are you sure your lay of Inter at 1.2 got matched? Because it doesn't look like the price dropped anywhere close to 1.2 after the first Inter goal, it didn't even go below 1.5?

Your "other software" graph looks messed up if you compare it to the Betfair graph, Inter started the match at 2.40ish so no chance they could drop all the way to 1.2 by taking the lead. Don't think that is Betfair's fault and don't think would happen if you used Bet Angel.
on your 2nd graph you can see the betfair price up tp 1.21 and nothing has been matched at that or below so obviously you couldn`t have had a lay of 1.2 matched , surely the best thing to do is look at your matched bets to see where you have made the error

I had this one on the backburner, but pretty sure Inter "scored" a 0-2 goal, which was what pushed the price to 1.20ish and which was ruled out by VAR. Slavia scored pretty swiftly after the post-VAR restart.
The Betfair approach to VAR has already been discussed a fair bit already, and this is a bit dodgy. But that aside, you've taken a price, that - if you've been trading for five years - you should know wouldn't be there - at 1.20 - with a 0-1 scoreline, given prematch prices. You've laid a 0-2 price and traded out at 1-1.
Again make what you will of Betfair opening the market while VAR is ongoing, then suspending and reopening after VAR to allow you fantom trade out, because it was before then cancelling your initial lay (I'm assuming that's the order it happened), but you've also taking your eye off the ball here yourself. If you're open to taking something with you from this going forward.

Yeah, it sounded like a VAR issue at first, I was confused by the graph but VAR will explain it, I checked and Lukaku scored for 2-0 but they disallowed it and it went to 1-1 instead, OP must have somehow missed all of it while making his sandwich wtf?!?
Hard to believe OP would instantly conclude that Betfair must have cheated him out of his winnings, after 5 years of trading??
Rarog if you haven't traded football for a while then you should familiarize yourself with how VAR affects the markets on Betfair, goes without saying that you need to wait a moment for the ref to confirm that the goal will stand in general.

I'd love to know what sandwich he made.
I'm away from home without my laptop and can't see post counts on my smartphone, so I just assumed the OP was a new member who just started trading football.
There are all sorts of reasons why, in any sport, a green book can suddenly turn red. Such as uncancelled bets, voided bets, etc. It's completely the wrong attitude when things go tits up to assume you've been cheated without even investigating.

Yeah, but OP did really say that he has been trading for the last 5 years, in his last sentence. But I agree about the attitude, such a weird thing to assume, even posting a picture of different trading software on here, don't think I've seen that before

Yes, thanks for the answers. I figured something might have really happened and that football in the game had never been traded before. Version about the canceled goal looks right. I had doubts when I saw this price in 1.2, it was only 0.5-1 minute. Maybe I really didn’t know something. Although it is strange on the other hand that the previously closed position turned into an open one, although I’m 100% sure that I didn’t have any unfulfilled bets. What if at that moment I would turn off the terminal and go away...
