The popular illusion is that bright people are Tory and those less fortunate are Labour but the stats show that the higher the level of education, the less right wing people are.
You are right about how people see it but if Conservatives are not the brighter why do Labour bang on so much about private schools and having an unfair advantage? If they do get an 'advantage' by going to a private school then the mean education level of Conservatives must be higher. And if your stats are correct then those that go to private school are more likely to be less right wing!

Anyway as always in life it's not a matter of what is and what isn't, it's all about what is perceived to be and perceived not to be. 'Illusions' are of greater importance than fact! :)
Private schools are more about privilege and the old boys network than education, half of parliament has probably been to Eton. The higher up the ladder you go the more likely you'll be discriminated by your class than race.

OK Guys, ranting over. Everybody has made their decision and will be voting today however they feel appropriate. Let's see if we can squeeze a few quid out of the markets.

They have been quite lively already. But why that is the case, I've no idea.

I've been playing the Lab Maj markets and have worked a massive position in there if the outsider comes in. But will try and turn my attention to the shorter prices.

I actually arranged to see my daughter some time ago to support her in a charity event that is taking place tonight. So I'll probably miss the fun and games later, but I am collecting data on it.
...will you look to level up or let yor position run Euler?

Pounds is strong in general at the moment but would crash on a No / Lab maj result.

Probably reach AUD$2 by new year if a healthy Cons. Majority but would go down much much more if not a majority

I will trade in and out of position and not hedge. I'll make a decision on that as the polls are about to close.

The closer the polling got the more Sterling rose according to my mate at Crédit Suisse.

Falling back sharply today vs USD.

GBP still 14-15% down on levels before the EU ref was announced. Where it levels at on Fri will be the true indication of how well the result is received globally.

It's perfectly acceptable to shoot messengers who choose their messages selectively! :)

Scouser hates Tories shock.

Gobber writes for the Telegraph too. What a cheek!
