Are you using excel? That can be pretty resource intensive. Dont think it should be taking up that much RAM otherwise. Has it been running for days? Have you restarted recently?

13% of your cpu is hardly a killer beither is 1gb of your 16. I'd imagine windows programs are optimised to take advantage of any available resources and always more effective to run in ram.

Ok but why would such a small app require 1gb of ram in the first place ? Unless it contains some hi quality textures and 3d rendered objects i cant see why it should eat up so much ram :)

Take a look at this game:

It consumes a massive 16kb :)

I guess 1.2gb is pretty excessive :D

I can see that happening if you have several stored values every 1 second on 50 races or so

ok, looks like you are. i had thought that maybe you were using polling and had a lot of races being queried etc...

back to the drawing board then (tho one other setting to check is that you have selected [x] Restrict Refresh under advanced settings).

PS: Ive just checked again a moment ago and it looks like it dropped, down to 600Mb
I mean what should it look like anyway ? The software consumption. Whats your average ?

@Dallas may be able to help on further fine tuning things, but in that image you have not got any retriction on your refresh, therefore, every single entry is being queried on each refresh. by restricting the refresh to a workable threshold, you may find that your cpu and memory usage are much reduced. However, you may have a particular reason for querying every entry ad infinitum, so i'm only guessing at what may or may not be feasible for your strategy.

re your p.s. my memory usage is about 250mb with a cpu usage of about 20%

Bet Angel uses memory to store a price history for each market as they refresh. This is used for charting and for historic price comparison when using Automation. The more markets you refresh and the quicker they refresh, the more data you will gather. Bet Angel frees memory as it goes when markets are removed, settled, or the data point capture limit is reached for a market.
