Currently an inspection at Ascot, standing water on track, seems very doubtful.

Heavy rain here this morning and everywhere is waterlogged. I was surprised they said they were going ahead. Guess it will down to the drainage. But it's really flooded around here after the heavy rain overnight.

Ascot ON.

(Will probably try and get through 3 races, then call it off, so don't have to offer refunds. Plenty have booked xmas parties there today, £ talks, bit like Exeter's Christmas racing day yesterday.)

Feels like it's been raining for 40 days and 40 nights but some dry weather forecast for next week.

Ascot traded OK given the lack of runners etc. Hopefully it will be OK tomorrow.

Never seen Southwell look so wet - looks like a US track

I couldn't stop giggling the first time I heard a commentator in the US refer to the going as 'sloppy'

Hi Peter

Does this mean that the pre off trades are all refunded? I should know this, but would appreciate 100%clarification please?

Thanks in advance

CS

EDIT: And I assume the 3 previous races at Southell that have completed still keep the wins / losses; ie are not affected by the abandonment of the other races?

Your assumptions are correct.
