Seems like Racenet is the odd man out so to speak, every where is has it listed as Echuca.

It appears the same horses are running at both tracks. I've looked on the map and they're 175km apart so definitively not different names for the same course.

Derek,
I haven't checked this yet, but I suspect the Wangaratta meeting has been transferred to Echuca because of the fires.
cheers

Cheers, I thought that might be the case. It's quite misty at Echuca as well.

Hi Derek,
That's not mist - it's smoke. I live in a southern suburb of Melbourne and I am having difficulty breathing from the smoke from the bushfires in Tasmania.

I realise that. I'm surprised horses are running in it given the sheer size of their lungs and volume of air intake. I hope the vets that give the go-ahead know what they're doing.

I would be praying for you if I believed in god ( ;) ) but I hope the rains come quicker than expected. The situation looks pretty dire on the news.

Just started trading and find, with the abandonment of Canberra, a 31-minute gap to Yarra Valley.

Now I can see why they call it Wagga Wagga - so good they named it twice. :D

Randwick is beginning to scalp more like peak-season. Not getting much out of the other courses.

Yes it is better this week, Gold Coast is trading well with the better racing on there. Shame SSR are cutting coverage shortly for pointless Hong Kong racing every 45 mins or so whilst missing all the Oz racing.

Gold Coast all races put back one due to accident on the M1 causing delays for horses getting to the course.
