Hi there,

Regarding Rule Trigger Times when setting an automation rule:

If i want to 'arm the trigger' to place my bet at 62 minutes into a football game, should i a) check the 'event start time' and arm the trigger for 77 minutes after the event goes in play (i.e. 45 mins first half, 15 min break, 17 mins into second half, total 77 mins)?, or should i b) check the "in-play time" checkbox and arm the trigger for 62 minutes?

My question really relates to what the difference is between 'event start time' and 'in-play time' when trying to ascertain how to set a trigger to as close to a certain minute as possible?

Many thanks!

Event start time - is the scheduled start time = eg planned kick-off time 15:00:00
In-play time - is measured from the time that the event actually started = eg the ref blew the whistle and Betfair turned the match in-play 15:00:28

As your bets are intended for the amount of time elapsed in play, schedule them according to time elapsed in play. That way any delay to the start will have no effect. A match remains 'in-play' over the half time break so you have to allow for it.
