I've got a rant for you Derek, 5hrs dental work, 4½ grand.
Sedation makes the extractions easier apparently, especially those from my f'in wallet.
It's not like I'm having anything fancy done, just fixing cheapo NHS bodge jobs on the few remaining teeth I've got before they fall out as well!
flipping hell - I didn't know dental work was that expensive. Haven't been for years.

I had forgotten all about last night. I've just done my accounts and spent ten minutes going through my account statement to find out why my balances don't' reconcile when I found this: EXC15 - MIN BET ABUSE REFUND. 10 pence refunded.

They've taken the abuser's pennies away and hopefully they'll close his account. :)

Good news about the account. Don't spent it all at once. :D

I hadn't been to the dentist either for years and was starting to resemble Shane McGowan. It's expensive but 13 fillings, 2 crowns, a 3-tooth bridge and two lots of sedation soon adds up. And I've already had 2 out before xmas that was another £450!
Oh well, I'm worth it :)

Private. It's the shoddy work done by the NHS that's made it necessary. Things like filling over decay while what's underneath gets worse.

It's getting worse actually, take pop music, for example - it's a total piece of turd nowadays, because producers and musicians orient on YouTube most viewed "musicians"
A lot of the most popular 'pop' music in the last 3 decades can be attributed to a just handful of songwriters. One of the first of these was a Swedish guy called Dag Krista Volle (aka Denniz Pop) who founded the Cheiron studio but thanks to the Swedes having a culture of modesty its not a name you hear of. There's actually more good music about than there's ever been no matter what your niche is, the problem as you said is that it's hard to find because the internet is a mostly a random mess and it's not curated very well.

As you say a name most people have never heard of but would be amazed by the number of songs he is behind.

I watched this really good documentary about him and just had a look and it is available on iPlayer for the next 4 days. I highly recommend watching it:

Any one been burnt on the PSG vs Monaco game on Sunday?

Betfair seem to be developing a habit of voiding bets miles after they occurred in this case after the match. I had placed a bet to change a losing position into a winning one, but then at 23:30 after the match had finished they voided all bets within a VAR period and left me with a loss. How exactly are you supposed to bet live if they are moving the goalposts constantly? They have done it again in the Al-Ittihad vs Pyramids game tonight voiding bets placed over a 30 minute period including one's to minimise a loss. I have just about had it with betfair. Anyone know how Smarkets are doing with their API?

Hi punkettr, welcome to the forum.

The rant thread is generally for letting off steam but not the best place to get advice and opinion because some of the bigger brains on here may not visit this corner. :)

You might find the thread below useful.

Me: Hi, I had some matched back bets at Taree this morning that were voided following the abandonment of the meeting. Could you please confirm whether or not the abandoned race will count as a turnover charge market, for the purpose of staying under the 24 market limit?

Betfair: To ensure you are connected to the right agent can you please provide some more information about what you require help with today please.

Me: I provided you with a comprehensive question - if you don't understand it please pass it on to somebody who does!

Betfair: Hello Derek, How can I help you?

Me: I've already submitted the question!

Betfair: Just bear with me while I look into this for you.

Betfair: Can you confirm this is about commission paid?

Me: No, it's about turnover charge. It's applicable if, amongst other criteria, you trade more than 24 NSW markets in a week. I just want to know if an abandoned race that you had matched back bets in are included in this total?

Betfair: Can you please elaborate on this as I am unsure?

Me: What exactly are you unsure of, the question appears quite precise?

Betfair: I'm unsure of what you mean in your query?

Me: Which word or term are you unsure of?

Me: Are you still there?

Betfair: Just bear with me while I ask a manager as I'm unsure of the terms used here.

Betfair: This will not apply for these bets, Apologies for the confusion on my end.

Me: Thanks Ian, that's all I needed to know, goodbye.

Survey: Based on your experience today, how likely would you be to recommend Betfair to a friend?
(Where 10 is most likely and 0 is not at all likely. If you would prefer to skip the question you can type skip below).
