Evening all

I've had a scour thru here but haven't seen an answer to this, so apologies if this has been asked or answered before..

Basically as per the title, i have a few bits of automation that i'm looking to set up but involve laying certain nominated selections only if they are in certain positions of favouritism..

I haven't fiddled with automation for a while now and the ones i have running in the background every day are very very basic ones... so can't picture how i would set this up.

At 10 seconds before start, i want to lay horse x in nom 1 as long as they are eg 3rd fave.

Nothing fiddly otherwise.. just that.

Any help, or pointers much appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

Under the 'general' tab on the rules file you would select applies to 'position 3 in order of favouritism'. You could also create another rule to apply to position 2 etc.

He wants to use nominated selection in guardian but only trigger if his nominated selection is 2nd or 3rd favourite. So i think thats different to using your suggestion ?

You'd start by using two 'set modify signal' rules applied to the 2nd and 3rd fav to set a signal on each.
Then on your lay rule that's applied to nominated selection add a Signal set condition to test if the above signal is set.

Or if you still get stuck there is this example which is close to what you want and backs nominated runners if within the top 3, so your basically just flipping the setting used
