Without a question Betfair API with Betangel has serious issues.

I've traded on Betfair since 2000.
I've used Betangel software for many years, recommended to many people.
I've traded over 10,000 horse races.
Inside the last week two of my back bets have simply froze, having at least a couple of minutes to trade out, no matter what I tried it would not accept the lay trade.

I now will not use either Betangel or Betfair until this issue is resolved and I personally as a long term client, since their launch, will not trade again, they then must consider what loss of commission they will lose.
If they refuse to accept any liability, then I will have to rename them BETUNFAIR ….

I'm not using Bet Angel but have still experienced problems over the last few weeks. The problem is almost certainly with the Betfair API.

The issue cost me 3.6k this week when it froze and my lay didnt appear to be accepted then turned up in play leaving a massive over lay. Betfair say they know about the issue but are keeping tight lipped as I think they know its very bad. They shouldnt be accpeting bets via the API.

Is this just a streaming issue? I don't use BA but bot thousands of markets a week that rely on matched bet data and haven't encountered problems, but I do just poll the markets. Have I been lucky or should I start being worried some catastophe is around the corner?

Lucky, as it was affecting streaming and polling. Though Dallas said the other day that Betfair have rolled out a fix I believe a few days ago but it may be that that hasn't fixed it given some of the new reports.

I haven't seen it since the roll out of the fix.

Edit:

Update: Just heard that betfair are rolling out another fix tomorrow morning (16/01/2020) which should resolve the slow bet information.

Anyone else experiencing a lot of lock ups and slow pings in the build up to and during the 1335 at Wetherby?

May just be local issue.

Edit: Status page reporting a lot of issues API wide not just streaming but polling as well.

Be very careful!

Edit 2: API Status page now saying back to normal and API seems to be behaving itself again but I have just had another lock up.

Will be sitting it out myself for a while.
