Racing.com pictures not working for anyone else?
It's working now on my PC. I'll try and clock the delay for the next race.
Cheers Derek, but I posted on Saturday around 6am on the thread that it was back working via the website. It was working the whole time on the app. Still no sign of Sky Sports Radio working :( If anyone gets it working please let the thread know.

Try plugging the following URL into VLC, MPC-HC or similar. Can confirm it's working in Australia but I'm unsure if it is geoblocked. It's the direct SSR link from skyracing.com.au.

Goulburn trades like a proper NSW racecourse. :D

Thanks for that.

Though I can't get it to work in VLC though it might be due to my lack of VLC knowledge. If others such as Peter can try who are more knowledgeable that would be great. I suspect we have been Geoblocked in the UK.

With VLC it's something like 'enter streaming URL' (not on the PC at the moment).

It also works on your phone if you just click on the link (Android, Chrome browser). But yes, sounds like geoblocking. I know Sky 1 and Sky 2 are both blocked outside of Aus so I'm surprised the audio has lasted as long as it has if it is in fact geoblocked.

Thanks, I am pretty sure I was trying to do it correctly. This is the error it throws in VLC:
http error: error: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden
http error: error: HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden
access_mms error: error: HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden
core error: open of `http://kitdigitaioslive-i.akamaihd.net/ ... audio.m3u8' failed

Yes the message I posted above your's bog is the error that the image you relate to throws that can be viewed in the VLC log accessed by Menu - Tools > Messages. You can toggle the different messages it gives by changing the menu on the Messages window at the bottom left where it says Verbosity: 0 (errors) / 1 (Warnings) / 2 (Debug).

It is most likely due to geoblocking I assume, you are not in Australia are you Bog?

Yep I'd suggest that's a geoblock error. A VPN would easily bypass that but having a dedicated machine for AU audio might be a bit of overkill! It's payback for being 5ms from the BF servers whereas our pings are 350+ 😆

Does it have to be Sky Sport Racing audio? Radio TAB covers basically the same races (with a few exceptions) but I don't believe it is geoblocked (could be wrong though). Is latency important or are you just wanting to hear the non BLV covered races?

Oops that link doesn't actually go anywhere. I'll fix it in the morning but if you wanted to experiment in the meantime just search Radio TAB or Ubet Radio and you'll probably find something.

Edit - try this one

Hi PDC. I'm not in Aus, maybe that's why it's not working. I tried with Opera VPN and still doesn't work. Works only with Australian IP maybe? As you said, it's been a while since Sky Sport radio worked on their official website

Link working with pot player, but how much is the delay? Seems similar with https://tunein.com/radio/Sky-Sports-Radio-1017-s7004/

Thanks, I and others have been using TAB radio since SSR Radio stopped. It is the fastest feed after SSR Radio as far as I know.

I found the coverage on SSR Radio much better though, they don't miss as many races a TAB does or at least the starts. TAB seem to love to play an interview with say a jockey and miss the start of a race but not make you aware they are racing until say 30 seconds after. On Saturday they played a race as if it were "Live" but it had actually finished sometime ago.

That makes it tricky trading right up until near the off as you can risk getting caught going inplay.

Rik on Saturday said he had been using a VPN to access SSR Radio from I think the UK which had been working until recently for him. I don't know how much a VPN is so will have a look but it probably won't be worth spending money on it unless it is extremely cheap as TAB largely does what I want.

Racing.com being available for pictures for free from the UK is great. I really like their coverage between races and usually listen to them when I don't have TAB on for a race. I hope it continues being available.

Yes it has been quite a while now since SSRR worked on their website. It did continue to work on Simple Radio app for quite a long time after but that has stopped working for a while now as well.

In the past this has happened and it has started to work again. I always seemed to think it coincided with an update to Flash Player and then eventually it seemed they fixed the issue.

But there have now been several Flash Updates and it hasn't come back to life at all.

Real shame, I will miss the De bortoli wine ads
