Hi all,

Is there anyway to use excel to split an account?

Yes say I have 1000 in my BF acc. Is there anyway to split the account into 2 x 500?

Basically I have a dutching calculator on excel which works perfectly, but I have 2 strategies that need to be implemented on a single market.

Obviously I could use BA dutching, but that will show P&L for the whole market. I need the excel sheet to only store the P&L on the score lines for each strategy.. Aka why I need 2 dutching calculators on excel.

Can this happen? Or am I talking nonsense haha

Just to add. I can use some kind of macro to store the P&L when I submit my bet.

But if the bet isn't taken and I have to manually change the odds to be taken. How can I get the Dutching calculator to recognise this and store the P&L accordingly?

If you're familiar with Macro's I'd have £1k split across 5 cells so 5 unused cells each show a value of £200. Then I would trigger Strategy 1 with references to this first £200 so once it loses this (hopefully not) this losing strategy won't be able to continue, same for Strategies 2-5.

Now you'd need to know where each win/loss should be added or subtracted from; so if you have a winning profit of £10 with strategy 1, this would make the first £200 cell now read £210. This means each of these 5 banks would grow/shrink independently from the others like you asked for.

The problem, as I'm sure you're aware, is being able to recognise where this hypothetical £10 P/L should go?? My first thought was to use different amounts of money i.e. Strategy 1 uses £2, Strategy 2 uses £2.01, Strategy 3 uses £2.02 etc but if you're dutching this will be more difficult? You could still sum the stakes up and make your total stake different for each strategy. I'm just not sure how you'd be able to use these varied stakes to recognise which strategy belongs to which bank, hopefully that's at least sparked an idea for you though.

Callum,
Thanks for the great response, it gave me alot to think about.. And a few brain waves popped to mind.

We can definitely use that way to split a bank, put a bank value in each spreadsheet, when a bet/s are places it will minus the Stakes for that amount. So that's sorted :)

Next issue I face - when I enter a bet/s on each spreadsheet how can I get those bets logged into that spreadsheet? As I need all unmatched bets placed from that spreadsheet to be logged on that spreadsheet. I will have multiple spreadsheets, so it would be great if each spreadsheet logged it's own matched/unmatched bets. Obviously knowing when they're matched and logging that with the odds that were filled.

Any thoughts?
