That's what I imagine they will do, go back to the exact moment they jumped for the BSP and then cancel any bets after that

Betfair just sent out a tweet confirming this

I had been unaware of the Betfair problems today

2 odd things happened to me earlier. At 5pm Bet Angel placed a DOB bet for me on a big outsider 'Street Poet' (5pm Newcastle) £6 at 82.0 with 50% offset. Luckily I logged in via my mobile. I had a balance of £102 so was expecting it to show £94. Instead it showed £22! Somehow my bet had got ramped up.

The Bet angel log didn't seem to show any irregularity. Normally the mobile app allows you to 'cash out' but this wasn't appearing, I frantically logged out and back in and was able to cash out. I then manually input the bet just before they jumped but Street Poet ran poorly anyway so a losing bet.

The second thing I decided to back 4 outsiders in the 5.30 Newcastle and then namually input lay bets to stay 'in-play' I was watching the race and noticed the odds wern't moving. One of my horses 'Special Lady' was running quite well so my lay in play bet should have been taken but wasn't. I nearly fell out of my chair when Special Lady won, Betfair SP 95.84. It was only a £2 bet but what a relief. Wonder if Betfair will allow the bet to stand or void it several hours later like they've done in the past?

Yes a very useful thread. I think when I'm out and about I'll google it on a daily basis. I have looked it up before but only after I've noticed Betfair behaving oddly.

Hi, due to a technical issue the 17:30 Newcastle did not go in play.

We will be voiding bets matched after the official off time, manually reconciling the BSP before settlement.

Yes a very useful thread. I think when I'm out and about I'll google it on a daily basis. I have looked it up before but only after I've noticed Betfair behaving oddly.

Problem is that issues can occur at any time, I use Google Mail Checker extension for Chrome to get notified of any incoming emails right away. You can also hook up a separate email account for the sole purpose of monitoring this thread.

Did anyone experience an outage for around 2 hours? (2pm to 4pm today) (Might of only been the greyhound markets)

I was aware of that, I was just wondering why the markets weren't suspended. I only found out about it from Peter's post so I'm sure it would have caught a lot of people by surprise.
