Hi Guys,

Wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction with this. I'm very new to Bet Angel. I plan on using it for betfair trading in the longer term, but I also wondered if this was possible to achieve with the software.

I currently do a bit of arb speculation with the bookies like so:

- Place bet at bookies on certain horse
- Lay bet on horse at exchange 5 minutes to 30 seconds before scheduled race time based on certain criteria (target odds would like to achieve unless getting too close, then lay out at smallest loss/biggest gain possible).

I currently use a standard matched betting calculator to work out the stake I need to place on the lay (where you type in back stake, back odds, bookies commission %, current lay odds and exchange commission %), but wonder if this can be achieved within guardian, or other alternative means, and once the criteria is hit, back the correct lay stake for the current best lay odds.

Cheers in advance for your help!

Hi all,

Just a bump to see if any one has any pointers in being able to achieve this. Is it even possible to do with Bet Angel? Been watching the tutorials, and whilst it seems very powerful there doesn't seem to be the exact stake strategy I need.

Cheers,

Darren

Bet Angel only connects to the Betfair exchange API so can't see what you've done on Bookmaker websites (or even the Betfair sports book).

Hi Dallas,

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, I was thinking more doing the part of entering the bookies details in manually somewhere within Guardian rather than being automatically retrieved from the bookies.

The bets at the bookies will be placed somewhere around an hour to 30 minutes before scheduled race time.

The plan would be to input the bet odds and bet stake manually along with the horse that has been backed within Guardian, then leave the automation running to automatically lay the bet around 5 minutes to 30 seconds (based on another set of parameters such as between the odds of X and Y) before the race using the correct lay stake for the current best odds on the exchange.

Cheers,

Darren

Sounds could be possible with an excel spreadsheet integrated with Bet Angel. I'm afraid my own knowlege of spreadsheets is pretty basic. I would suggest searching on Youtube, Peter Webb shows how to use Bet Angel's spreadsheet integration feature. In all honesty there are some real spreadsheet experts on here who could guide you further assuming what you're suggesting is possible.

Yeah, that'd be straightforward with excel. You'd just have to use some IF statements according to your criteria.

Another way would be to use 'Automation.' Have a look at this video
