Does anyone do 1 to 1 tuition.

Im a newbie who wants to fast track and learn how to trade.
Ideally i want a full time professional trader to show me everything from setup, organisation and placing live trades.
I want structured lessons starting from the basics all the way to watching me place live trades and helping me learn from my mistakes.

I am prepared to travel to your place of work everyday. If interested plaese get in touch and we can come to some sort of arrangement

I really wouldn't recommend it if you're completely new to trading. It's a bit like hiring a professional golfer to give you lessons - you'd have to have reached a certain level to fully benefit from the things a pro can teach you that a good hobbyist can't. I also remember Shaun saying on this forum, better to learn from a good teacher than a professional who can't teach.

Learning the very basics of trading is free and you'll find videos that guide you through it (haven't yet watched them) in the BA Academy: https://online.betangelacademy.com/cour ... ash-course

Once you've got started trading, by all means, consider further training. The problem with somebody holding your hand and correcting all your mistakes for you is that you'll always need them with you. Most traders make mistakes and quickly learn from them. Good luck.

Tuition can't guarantee success no matter how good a teacher you find, they can point you to the beach but you need to learn how to swim alone. Hiring a pro to learn the basics is definitely overkill. Wanting such a teacher suggests that you maybe lack the much needed mental fortitude to push well beyond the basics.

That being said, I actually think shadowing someone while they trade could work in theory, provided the conflict of interest is not too great and the edge that is being shared is not too niche. You can also do it online I guess, I've done similar things with a friend through Skype's screen share feature. There's probably some bored pros around that wouldn't mind a bit of company provided they are adequately paid for their time, and I guess you are free to give up at any time once you realize how difficult it is

Analyzing and pointing out newbie mistakes is the easiest thing to do for a pro, that sounds like very easy work actually for a patient mentor. Plus, teaching someone from the ground up may benefit the mentor as well to reinforce his own understanding of the markets, like I once mentioned in an absurdly long post last year. So I guess it's not such a ridiculous request like it seems at first, but best of luck finding someone who will actually do it.

A pro should be able to teach you the basics in a day or so and being able to avoid newbie mistakes would be a massive plus. Good luck in finding a reliable pro willing to give away their secrets though.

IMO In any complex field, the best tuition is making mistakes. Rumination, trial and error and failing is a pretty important aspect of learning. You can't fast track that.

Paid tuition may get you to a profit a little faster in regards to the mechanical side of things, but I would think it would be a precarious position. It won't really get you to expert status any faster.

+1

The real issue here is the OP's intention to 'fast track', what to the rest of us is a very slow track. No professional footballer has ever joined a football academy without ever kicking a ball - they learn to play football in there back garden or local park. If you want Pele to teach you how to kick a ball before you've even tried it yourself, you're not likely to make it as a footballer.

If you want someone to teach you to trade without taking any interest or making any effort to learn anything about it first, you'll have a harder battle than the many people who've put in a lot of effort and still didn't succeed.

I've always wondered whose tooth a new/trainee dentist first takes out.

Don't know about dentists but doctors train on dead people for a lot of things.

I've had a lot to drink tonight so won't make any firm decision right now, but I think I need to seriously consider what to do with my body. Waste of time and land digging a hole, hell of a waste of fuel cremating it and flying the ashes half-way around the world to Rosehill, but it could be useful in training surgeons. :D

That's a good way to go if there's someone that you can find/trust.

Part of my journey was to attend the Peter Webb Masterclass, (around 2 years ago). There were a group of 6 of us that sat in a boardroom setting, watched live trading set ups and went home with a "bible" of information.

Due to moving offices/house etc...he hasn't done one since, but I believe he wants to get some more done in the future. The next one will probably be a blockbuster as there has been a big shift in automation within Bet Angel over recent years.

Send him a PM or re-engage in the following thread.

Those are some dark thoughts Derek, hope you're not worried about the coronavirus that is spreading around like the plague? :D

It probably won't last for much longer seeing as it was made in China.

Lots of good courses out there you can do.
Betfair Scalper for one. I'm still
at beginner level, but I've picked up quite a bit
from that one.
