Seeing a lot of this lately.

12/02/2020 06:50:14: Guardian has detected that the market is in-play
12/02/2020 06:50:14: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
12/02/2020 06:55:14: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended

Because there is no SP in the API for tennis, I'm setting the SP 5-59 secs after going in play then immediately fixing the order so I only trade the favourite. However, the 5 min suspension is preventing this happening, then 5 mins in the prices have changed with points played. The workaround I can think of is to run 59-0s prior to event start but the delays in tennis mean this could be a long time prior to going in-play (though prices shouldnt change that much)

Any suggestions to a workaround ?

Happens all the time on low liquidity markets.

Cheers, good to know. I usually only trade ATP/WTA but testing so running on everything I can find.

Tennis start times are a guide only. If there are 5 matches on the same court, how can you predict when the previous one will finish? you cant.

In response to the OP, you could use signals before the match goes in-play to determine the fav.

Exactly, as I mentioned in my first post. The other issue is I want to grab the SP as it goes in-play as I'm using it to calc my entry. May just have to ignore those with the suspend delay

You will have a better idea of SP if you capture it 30 seconds before scheduled off time than you will, trying to capture it in play. :D

Not if I capture it in the first few secs before a point is played, which the 5 min suspend won't let me do. if you look at any of the automation from Dallas, he does the same. If the offtime/in-play time are wildly different, which is normal due to previous game overrun, there could be a largish difference.
May just have to live with it

If the 5 min suspend happens, what is your other option??????? TBH that 5 min suspend only happens every now and then.

Yeah I know, but I have 7 in play currently. Out of those 7, 4 went into 5 min suspend. Thats a high rate IMO.
Wish BF sent the SP in the API

Like I said though, will just have to live with it

That's not normal though, I have traded 51 tennis markets this month and not had 5 second suspend on any of them.

This is getting irritating now. Not exactly low liquidity

Only way around it I can think of is to grab the price every x seconds until I set a signal based on going in play, then use that

12/02/2020 13:12:29: Guardian has detected that the market is in-play
12/02/2020 13:12:29: Guardian has detected that the market is suspended
12/02/2020 13:17:01: Guardian has detected that the market is now unsuspended

Are you using streaming or polling?
Does it make a difference if you switch to the other?

Streaming Dallas, I'll try polling and see what happens. Seems odd that it's nearly always dead on 5 mins. Would have to think its an issue at the BF end. Will monitor the website in tandem and see if that stays suspended when BA does as well.
