read a post they were throttling api for excessive users to have less lag
My understanding is that they won't do it without giving you a warning or email notification of the restriction.

Multi-tick scalping at Gosford, R2.

clearly something changed though, can multiclick with less than £2 stakes on high odds for example without half the bets not going through and half a second freeze

I haven't had any email so hopefully that isn't the reason for the issues I am having.

I just tried (not something I ever normally do) putting in sub £2 orders pre-race and I am still having to submit £2 at 1000 then it being changed to £3 and then the initial £2 cancelled and the £1 adjustment odd's changed to what I clicked. So nothing seems to have changed for me with that.

Last minute or so I get into 3 figures but before that smaller stakes, bets still get taken several ticks apart. I always hedge on the ladder if I'm closing a trade.

Had to miss the G2 at Randwick because I needed a dump - couldn't wait!

Keen to play Rox the Castle, Admirals Joker in the last at Flemington. I think Rox the Castle around the 12 dollars is great value and is a good back to lay expecting him to jump straight to the front and control the race.

Just lost a sizeable 3 figures trying to trade with things as they are when I was left not knowing what the heck my position was.

When I asked Betfair for some help I was told there was no one that could help as the API is just a lot of computers and there is no one therefore as it is just computers, but I could post on a forum and see if someone could help me.

Customer service at its best from them

Sorry to hear about that loss. That's the worst response I've heard from Betfair CS.

Cheers for your help Derek, I should tbh have known better and not even attempted to trade so the loss is my own fault really. Will soon have it back, just more the annoyance and also for the fact that I had just had that conversation with Betfair via Live Chat that put the cherry on the cake.

It was a new low in terms of customer service, even for Betfair and that takes some doing.

Esperance will always be thin, but omg if that isn't the prettiest looking race start in the country, with the Indian Ocean in the background...
