Markets not suspended but no bets allowed at the moment.

There was planned maintenance starting at 17:10 this evening

I was aware of that, I was just wondering why the markets weren't suspended. I only found out about it from Peter's post so I'm sure it would have caught a lot of people by surprise.

Because, Derek, they are two different (lets call it) "feeds": marketdata (others orders, and your orders, stuff you see on the ladder) and betsactions (bets placing-replacing, cancelation).
So, possible scenarios:

1) marketdata feed is ok, betsactions feed is not - bf will void anything after api fckup begining.

2) betsactions feed is ok, marketdata feed is not - bf will not void anything even if it went inplay and now it's your fault you didn't press big red panic button to cancel everything (remeber - "betsactions feed is ok"?) in market with broken marketdata feed.

My bots logs show no errors that period.

Thanks. I worked out that there was something conflicting with market feed and stopped the info updating.

Hi, due to a technical issue the 17:30 Newcastle did not go in play.

We will be voiding bets matched after the official off time, manually reconciling the BSP before settlement.

What about bets that were set to take SP but were matched after the off but before the market was suspended. I would guess Betfair voided them even though they should stand?

Is anyone else noticing some slow pings on the API since yesterday's issues?

I am not getting them all the time but I am getting more than I would like pings of 100ms to 200ms.

My "normal" pings also seem to be returning slower than they used to.

Aus racing was ok, first UK races were laggy.

I wish Betfair published a more comprehensive set of 'fuck-up' procedures, rather than simply saying what happens when a market fails (as if it's the market's fault, not theirs).

I seem to be having the problems you experienced last night, I'm on 200ms but looks more like 1000ms. Perhaps it's time to switch to Bet Angel.

I should have posted about the issues I was having here rather than int he Australian forum as there is more of a chance others would see it here.

I have continued to have issues all day today and everything seems to be pointing to there being an issue with Betfair, the main thing that goes against that is just how few people seem to be reporting having issues. I have seen a couple more people with issues today so it is starting to look like it may not just be local to me but a Betfair issue.

I have decided to call it a day for now and am just hoping that things go back to normal for tomorrow and stay fixed.

If anyone else is having issues please post on here about them with details about what is happening in a bit of detail as then that will build a better picture.

My issues are constant, not just a few minutes of stickyness. It is happening all the time and has been at the very least been happening for over 12 hours now. I can't really tell before that as I was not trading during the week, so ti could have been going on much longer without me being aware.

I am having problems. After offering to back or lay there is no epiq value shown and even when the price moves through my offer it is not taken. Having deleted the offer it is then taken. Calling it a day.

A common issue lately is money on both sides of the ladder at the same price, momentarily. Presumably the bet is taken but there's a delay in the info sent back.
