Arbing the Post Office - 1st class idea

I've had this (tongue in cheek) thought literally every other year when the post office raise the cost of 1st class stamps.

Is it possible to buy a *hoard* of 1st class stamps at current day prices and then sell them back to the market once the new price is in place??

The new NIV stamp prices from 23 March 2020 will be:

76p for 1st class (an increase of 6p from 70p = 8.571429%)
65p for 2nd class (an increase of 4p from 61p = 6.55738%)

I have a lot of NIV stamps bought at rock bottom prices which I use almost daily.
