Sturridge given a football ban til June, yep that'll sure put aa stop to insider betting.

https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/daniel ... 00590.html
"In addition, the connected bettors attempted to place bets worth £20,560 on Mr Sturridge's potential transfer moves.

"These bets were refused. Had they been accepted, however, and had they been successful, these bets would have returned a further £317,006."

What a superb footballer Sturridge could have been. Such a shame.

Unfortunately for them it was the wrong half.

How can the FA cup draw happen while a match is still in progress?

Which rule was applied?
For my point it doesn't matter which rule is chosen. All I was saying is it was not the VAR at fault it was (possibly) the operator and how they have been instructed to apply the rules. If a car crashes do you blame the car or the driver! :)

I would also like clarification of how the Keep option works for a match already in play.

Taken from BF rules

If this market is re-opened for In-Play betting, unmatched bets will be cancelled at kick off and the market turned in play. The market will be suspended if it appears that a goal has been scored, a penalty will be given, or a red card will be shown. With the exception of bets for which the "keep" option has been selected, unmatched bets will be cancelled if it appears that a goal has been scored or a red card has been shown (notwithstanding that such goal or red card may ultimately not be awarded). Please note that should our data feeds fail we may be unable to manage this game in-play.

Thanks for digging that out JB, it made me realise it was never top of my list so I haven't searched Bf! :( But it does surprise me … so if Bf thinks something may happen but it transpires they were wrong your bet is still cancelled when the market is unsuspended! Why? If nothing has changed wouldn't it be reasonable the market will just carry on? Doesn't that create conflicts between keeping your bet when there has been an 'invalid' suspension and keeping it when the wrong team scored?

Yikes, when it rains it pours.

Naby Keita's brother among dead after Guinean football club's coach crashes : https://en.as.com/en/2020/03/06/footbal ... 64348.html

Alisson Becker will miss next week due to a muscle injury, so Adrian has to play against Bournemouth and probably Atletico again.

EDIT : Wow, Naby Keita reports were completely wrong. Turns out it was not actually his brother but his cousin, and he survived the accident too.

Betfair wrote:[*] In exceptional cases Betfair reserves the right to cancel 'keep' bets to protect customers but, unless stipulated in the market rules or the market information, the general principle is that at no point will a 'keep' bet be cancelled by Betfair unless it remains unmatched when the market is closed (for the final time) at the end of the event.

[*] For the avoidance of doubt this means that (for example) when a Material Event occurs in a soccer match and other unmatched bets are cancelled before the market is reopened, a keep bet will not be cancelled.
