well having tried putting lower stakes than 2 pound and it not working,with helpful advice from this forum finally managed to get some joy,however on 2 different games it left off 1 of the scores out of the 6 i selected so sort of defeated the object really, hopefull ill be in a positin to do higher stakes but im worried it wont put on the bets even if its over 2 pound.
Is your account balance sufficient?
If you're trying to place a back bet at less than £2 then your account balance needs to have at least £2 PLUS your stake to get the bet placed.
The process is as follows:
£2 BACK bet placed at 1000 as this is the minimum amount accepted by Betfair.
The bet is adjusted to £2 + your stake (say 50p). This means you need at least £2.50 in your account.
Betfair split your bet. You now have a £2 bet and a 50p bet.
Cancel the £2 part leaving just 50p.
Adjust the price from 1000 to whatever you want.

thanks for your help but got plenty in my account,has accepted more since i changed th e connection mode,but still feel uneasy with it.
If I can go in to the same market with £2 and stake it across multiple scores then it must mean there is something wrong at your end.
If you pick a match tomorrow and replicate it with exact step by step instructions on here (including error codes from the log) then maybe we can work out what the problem is at your end.
I should repeat that consistantly staking below £2 is against your Betfair terms and if you keep doing this they may flag this as an issue. If you look at the dutching area there is a stake using a minimum of box which ensures you never go below the £2 minimum.
