Means its the main meeting in the state basically, usually it would be a provincial

And bravo on the green - good card at Caulfield too so hopefully plenty more to come

Typically there's one meeting in each capital city on a Saturday, and some provincial meetings. Occasionally there isnt one in the capital (Brisbane today) and another venue is designated as the Metro meeting.

Thanks for the explanations, always wondered. Is there a definition as to what a Picnic meeting is? Obviously a small meeting but wondered if it had a certain meaning?

Means you can't bet on the TAB at these meetings
