Without giving names away just had an interesting conversation with someone at the very top of the English Premmier League.

"We are 99% sure the season is now over, the table is now frozen and the positions will remain as they are"

Meaning:

Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Norwich are relagated.
VERY interesting. But is this like when my girlfriend is 99% sure she packed my swimming shorts when going on holiday and I ended up having to buy a pair of ill-fitting speedos in Bermuda or is this 99% sure enough to put serious money down?
reminds me of a time (about 6 years ago) when we went on a family half term holiday to croatia. I too had forgotten my trunks and went thro the old town in Dubrovnik to buy a pair. I found a lovely pair which were priced in Kuna. Total cost, 960 Kuna. In my head, i thought the exchange rate was 80 Kuna to the pound and despite my youngest son nagging that i was paying over the odds, I bought the trunks. On my return to the UK, I discovered that I had indeed paid about £120 for a pair of trunks, the exchange rate was around 8-9 Kuna to the pound -lol

Bizarrely, I did this in the Dominican Republic. But it was me who forgot to pack. All the trunks were for US tourists so I eneded up wearing a pair about 3 sizes too big for me for 2 weeks.

That's pretty much our whole economy in a nutshell, you're always welcome back this summer Jim :) We promise not to have too many Corona cases around, we don't even drink that piss.

No! It's the only golf tournament I actually watch and look forward to each year. I mean that's one sport along with maybe F1 that whether there's a crowd or not doesn't really make a difference to the look and feel of the sport watching at home on the TV. I guess it's to protect the players too

I would think in 10 years when papers are written on all this that the measures taken to fight the virus will have been found to kill more people than the virus kills directly due to subsequent government cuts etc due to loss of taxation, families put to breaking point due to not working/being made unemployed due to businesses going bust etc etc.

Interesting to see if he manages to read the auto-cue correctly this time
