Coronavirus - A pale horse,4 men and ....beer
Seems to me everyone is assuming China have dealt with it. To me they've locked down society. Until there's immunity in the community (ie catch it and recover or vaccination) it will return as soon as people resume normal social interaction.Unless there is a seasonal factor.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 6:20 pmNightmare scenario for football:

I guess thats the scary bit about this. Clever scientists unable to prove pretty much anything about a 12 week old disease. Its all speculation.
I know there a lot people saying "well its just another coronavirus, it'll blow itself out in a few weeks". But the scientists are definitely not saying that.
Really the only bright point is that children appear to be brilliant at dealing with the virus (unless they have an underlying condition).

Looks like the Winchester til it blows over(first post) is out due to crowd control measures
On other tangential avenues, I have been doing the Wim Hof breathing method and find it to be most helpful in relaxing my mind in these crazy times. A friend of mine( being a 5th dan Aikidoka probably explains why) has an 8 minute breath retention time
. I can only manage 3:15 (yes the 15 secs are important
) but not bad for almost 50yr old bloke. It is a good challenge (if done safely dyor and all that) and is another thing to do while sitting at home in (likely to be) quarantine land.Apparently there are health benefits so I'll take what I can get.
take care folks
Edit: Perhaps it will make me be more comfortable being uncomfortable so good trading training

Now I can see why Cheltenham (mass gathering) went ahead. Get more people exposed to the virus and in turn, build an immunity shield.
or...
Let's not cause a panic, keep calm and carry on, the financial markets will stay stable.....

Callum Hudson Adoi looks as fit as ever while fighting back the virus. People in the public eye catching it can only be a positive (as long as they get through it) but it goes to show people through their blogs etc that this isn't something to melt over & even though it's very likely we will all get it, it's probably better to focus on the vulnerable around us. I feel for the old folk who couldn't beat the rush to the shops & when they got there probably stood looking at empty shelves & had a long ass walk back empty handed. I have an old lady at the end of my street which today I'll be checking in on (I've never spoken to her before) but last night I couldn't help but worry that she didnt get what the rest or most of us have gone out to stock up on. From my time communicating in this forum I've found that it's full of thoughtful people who are always willing to help others I just fear the general population isn't so kind.

As a post above has stated, this is a new disease and it is far too early to say if humans will develop immunity. If its like the common cold and we are going to let this run amock in the general population, then the worst case scenario is truly frightening.PDC wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 7:21 amMark Iverson just tweeted within his own tweet this link to a thread of tweets by Professor Ian Donald that explains the Government's approach very well. Personally, I would have thought you'd want to wait to have solid evidence that once you get infected, you can't be reininfected before going down this route.
