aagh market trader i think you have hit the nail on the head..thank you so much..one last thing..do i have to allow £2 for each horse i want to back or do i have to allow £2 for every runner..for example in a field of 10 runners and i want to back 5 of them do i need a bank of £20 or just £10 to cover the runners im backing..thank you again.

You just need to cover the 5. So your account balance will need to be £10 plus the total stake of £2.
