Liquidity is well up on what I was expecting, if they were to remain in place I can see some decent volumes going through them within weeks as people congregate around them

Haven't traded greyhounds for 2 years. I've been pleasantly surprised so far. This is perfectly workable for a few weeks

Yesterdays' headlines, "all racing shuts down, nothing to watch, end of the world".... no mention of greyhound racing at all. Opportunity missed by the sporting media for a betting medium. Let's hope it's allowed to continue for the next few months, (behind closed doors)

Back in the day the popularity was immense.

Side note

Harry Findlay sunk nearly £2 million into trying to get Coventry (Brandon) Stadium as the premium, go-to track, for the Derby and greyhound racing overall. He fell foul of some of the GRA stalwarts that didn't share his vision and a greedy landlord (2014). It closed in 2016.
It looks that greyhounds racing were very popular. From what year are those photos?

Being a Southampton lad, I obviously know Bournemouth very well

That Bournemouth photo was from an old racetrack called Ensbury Park. It was built on an old aerodrome vacated by the RAF at the end of WW1. A stadium was built by McAlpine, but only lasted 3 years 1925-1928. They hosted both National Hunt horses and Greyhounds

The racetrack went bankrupt and in 1934 was demolished for housing in the expanding area of Kinson

The Greyounds moved to a stadium called Victoria Park which is the home of Bournemouth Poppies. They have played there since 1890's and play in the Wessex League. The greyhound racing only lasted until 1934 when it shut. The council bought the stadium and leased it back to the football team

Nearby Poole started hosting greyhounds in 1960 and have since. It was the brainchild of Charlie Knott, who also owned Southampton Greyhound Stadium......which is another story

20-Feb-20 -31.76
24-Jan-20 -29.62
13-Dec-19 -73.72

3 losing days in 100 days! Your bots needs some changes Spreadbetting, too many mistakes

March +4498.53
February +4247.13
January +4999.88
December +3055.77

+16801.24 8-)

That's amazing, I don't know if it was an easy or a hard road to get this results, but I'm sure it was worth it. It seems finding value and beating the BSP it's the way to go, trading just pre-race it's for beginners

Cheers. It sure looks like greyhound was a very popular sport back then.

I did have a bum day in Feb last year if it helps Bog, well before Archery started posting though. In general the simple fact there are so many races mean daily results usually prove positive. The actual average per race is a pittance sadly :( , hopefully now people have little else to bet on I can increase botting stakes and profits.

137 uk dog races, 92 aus dog races and 72 aus horse races. That's 291 markets so it's business as usual apart from the 20 or 30 UK horse races.
