ah they were saying about track condition on twitter?
any reason why harness would be cancelled ahead of flat racing?
Harness meetings are attended by dirty lower-class people who are more likely to carry the virus. But Rosehill is attended by clean, well-dressed people, the very best the human race has to offer, and as a consequence they are deemed virus-free. :)

Gotta love the obscure markets that are showing up now - Brisbane temperature at 1pm under/over 26.4. Brb, just going to park myself in front of my weather station with laptop in hand 😂

We're seeing a cessation of non essential activities happening everywhere, is this & their dogs gonna continue?

Even though its helping me it somehow doesn't feel right.

Haha no wasn't me, I'm only a few km's from the official weather station but often it's a degree or so warmer here so was a bit gun shy!

Racing off at Sandown. Participant being test for COVID-19. On a flight with a confirmed case. Currently showing no signs of ill health. More at
@Racing

risk just going to increase the next days/weeks, chance that someone in the field has it not showing symptoms yet or not at all much higher than 1 might have gotten it because on the same flight as someone else
if you want to continue leave him out and continue until overall cases become too many to justify racing, seems stupid

Quite amazing how they went ahead with the meeting - might as well call it all off now

there should be at least 10 times the amount than the 2500 that tested positive in australia so far, that have not shown symptoms yet or at all, not been tested. chance that one of the riders or staff been in the same public transport, room or whatever than a positive guy is pretty high id say. to cancel for now and then decide to continue in a couple days seems stupid way to handle it
either you decide overall risk acceptable and go on or not, replace the one guy if you think he might have it due to being on the same flight
also if he wasnt sat next to the guy chance he got it from him must be pretty low otherwise everyone had it by now

I know the various racing bodies are still pushing to go on but surely it's time now. I previously thought they'd have until the end of the week at least but it's not a good look at present.

As an aside, 2 family members have tested positive. Only relatively minor symptoms which is reassuring (as they are in the high risk bracket) but geez, it makes it seem more real now. Reckon you are right rik, there would have to be 5 figures infected easily.
