I am hoping I am on the right forum here. If not- my apologies.
I had been trading in the practise account of Bet Angel for 3 weeks when I decided to add some extra funds so I could trade live ( only had £25.00 in to open the account in the first place).
My bank refused the payment until they got a telephone confirmation from me. When I tried to put in funds again I was suspended. Sunday 15th March
When contacting them in the little box to the right lower corner they told me what docs I required and I obliged. Heard nothing since. Can't get anything out of the little box apart from "It's ticketed, be patient" Surely 10 days is enough patience? If I can get an assurance that 10 days is normal perhaps I can rest easy, but I can't help wondering if there is some sort of problem they aren't telling me about. My credit rating is sky high, my bank accounts are always black, I've never got behind with the credit cards.

Doesn't it sound like a 'know your customer' process?

It usually takes about a week because the information has to be checked rather than just rubber stamped. Like all business at the moment Betfair are running with a much reduced workforce with the priority being servicing existing customers and businesses rather than obtaining new ones. These back office things only take place Mon to Fri so I don't know if your 10 days is business days, but given the current national crisis even 10 business days would be quick for non essential services.

Thanks for the replies. It looks as though I'm being impatient since it's been going on for 9 working days
I WAS a bit concerned that it may have been because the bank refused to grant the deposit due to requiring telephone confirmation.

Now this is odd. Just got verification back from Betdaq. Arrived within 30 minutes of sending JUST my driving license.
Betfair wanted driving license, passport, copy of debit card and a bank statement for the debit card. Still no verification after two weeks.
With no horse racing at present it isn't a problem but I really would like to know what their problem is

Betdaq clearly just wave things through and BF look like they do the proper checks. Probaby because it's so much easier to breach the money laundering check threshold on Betfair which used to only be about £10k.

Same problem we've all got I guess, for all we know BF have got one person in the office and the rest at home. I think they're doing a cracking job being as unaffected as they are actually, still delivering 100s of markets from around the globe every day with the vast maority being managed well. The fact we can all still make a wage is down to those guys risking contact by getting into work and grafting.
